A3s’s card on the right: call 36%, raise 64%, worth 16.2 chips. The strip shows 3rd street giving up under 0.05 big bets per 100 hands.

What you can solve

Seven Card Stud at fixed limit, the way it is dealt.

  • Whole hands from 3rd street Heads-up or three-handed, with your own door cards, ante, bring-in, limits and bets a street. Fold players in front and their antes stay in the pot.
  • Walk the hand Take each action, see how often each seat takes it, and deal every up-card yourself or at random, street by street to the showdown.
  • Exact from 6th street When two are left as 6th street begins, the rest of the hand is solved exactly for the line you are on, from the ranges each seat played the hand with, and keeps sharpening while you play on.
  • Three-handed late streets With three still in on 6th street, the rest of the hand is solved on its own for the line on screen, with every hand’s EV and the other seats’ ranges.
  • Your own spots Set up any heads-up 6th- or 7th-street spot: the up-cards, the dead cards, the pot and each seat’s range by hand class. Its exploitability and both seats’ EVs show as it solves.
  • Your own tree Leave out limps, bring-in completes or check-raises to solve a simpler hand, and give each street its own number of bets. Play 4th street without the open pair’s big bet, as the WSOP now does.
  • Chart, List and Classes A down-card chart, every hand with its frequency and EV, or hand classes the way players name them: trips, two pair, flush draws. Show another seat’s range, filter and sort.
  • Saved, on your machine Hands and spots save and reopen like every other HydraSolver solve, while they solve too. Copy puts any table on the clipboard for a spreadsheet.
  • Chip EV Stud solves count chips. Rake, side games and tournament settings do not apply to them.
  • Measured Heads-up from 6th street, the most a perfect opponent can take is under 0.003% of the pot, checked by a separately written program. Read the proof

Questions

Common questions.

What does it solve in Seven Card Stud?

Whole hands from 3rd street, heads-up or three-handed, at fixed limit with your own ante, bring-in, small bet, big bet and bets a street; and any heads-up spot from 6th street on, which it solves exactly.

Is it exact?

From 6th street heads-up, yes: every hand and every card, and the proof measures it. The whole hand from 3rd street is solved by self-play over sampled deals with similar hands grouped together; its accuracy is measured in play.

Can I turn off the double bet on 4th street?

Yes. Untick Big bet on 4th street with an open pair and 4th street plays at the small bet, as the WSOP now does.

How much RAM does it need?

About 5 GB for a heads-up hand and 15 GB for a three-handed one, at the bets the screen starts with.

Is it finished?

It is in beta in HydraSolver: solving, reading and saving work, and it keeps improving with each release.

Does it run on Mac or Linux?

No. HydraSolver is a Windows desktop app: Windows 10 or Server 2016 and newer, 64-bit. You can rent a Windows server from us and connect by Remote Desktop.

What does it cost?

$899 for one machine or $1,299 for two, for a year. Every game, every feature and every update is included. A 10-day trial of the full version is $150. Pay by card or Bitcoin.

Is there a free trial?

You can try the full version of HydraSolver, unrestricted, for 10 days — just $150. The trial can be upgraded to Single or Dual for the difference at any time.
